Emma Pillsbury Fashion ID Sneak Preview - The Power of Madonna

Last night, a little fairy named Sianna sent me this gem:

There were a lot of exclamation points in the subject line of that email, and rightly so. Hooray for the person who risked life, limb, and possibly employment to snap this on-set photo and leak it for all the world to see! Exclamation point!

I hunkered down with a nice hot cup of Theraflu and my trusty mouse and embarked on my search to find this new sweater. We've seen the skirt and shoes before, in Sectionals, but this top was new territory. After about an hour, I was pretty certain it was time to hang it up, or else I'd be posting pictures of Cosby sweaters in my Theraflu stupor.

Today was a new day! I looked and looked, but the elusive sweater continued to evade me. What were those little blobs, anyway? Sailboats? Eiffel Towers? Umbrellas?

It was then that I knew this journey could not be made alone, so I turned to the Obi Wan Kenobi of Anthropologie - Kim. Kim writes the fabulous blog Anthroholic. I was convinced the sweater was Anthro, and if anyone could help me, it had to be Kim.

Meanwhile, I called on my trusty facebookers to give me some help as well. The lovely and wonderful Teresa recognized the sweater from Forever 21. Little did she know how right she was, because...

Minutes later, I received word from Kim:

Hi Danielle! I recognized that sweater the minute I saw it. It's from Forever 21, believe it or not. It's called the Silhoutte Sweater Cardigan. I don't see it on the website anymore, but it may still be in stores. I'm sending you a separate email with a picture of it in case you want to use it for your blog.

Puppies! Rainbows! I have found my hero! I give you...

The Silhouette Sweater Cardigan

It's got little Mary Poppins wannabes all over it! I might break out into the chorus from Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious just from looking at it! (Which, by the way, was a bonus word on one of the weekly spelling lists when I taught second grade.)

And it was on Polyvore all along. When it was available in stores, it retailed for just 28 dollars! The skirt in this set isn't the exact one Emma's wearing, but the shoes are.

So there you have it, folks. Our first glimpse at a new Emma look from the back 9.

Thanks a million to Kim from Anthroholic for her lightning-quick expertise. The woman's amazing.

And Teresa, let us always trust in your instincts because you were totally right on the mark!

I do enjoy this about fandoms. You can always count on people to bring the good stuff.

Haha! I love this cardigan! I actually sent you an email this morning when I saw your post on Twitter because I almost bought this cardigan a couple of weeks ago! (I ended up buying it this morning)

Aw, you did? Why didn't I get your email? *pouts*

I demand pictures when you get it! You're going to be fabulous in it, darling!

Where can we find this if it's not at forever 21?

Jess, your best bet is eBay (although it's not on there right now), or it may be in the store even if it's not online (if you have a Forever 21 nearby). Good luck!

i tried that sweater on at f21 back in december...the "pearl" detailing around the neck made it look really cheap. it might look good on camera, but it definitely did not work in real life :(

The sweater is in stock on the Canadian website:

I second what Caitlin said above.
I saw this sweater in store in December and while the idea and design is adorable, the execution looked very cheap in person. I believe it was also rather sheer.
I'm sort of surprised to see Emma wearing it, considering the high-end pieces she usually sports. Hopefully it looks better on camera w/ some Hollywood magic. ;)

Ooh, I have that sweater! I always get unreasonably excited when I see Emma in pieces I own ;)

Some stores probably still have this around. If you are interested, the product number is 2067397092. If you go to your local store and give them this, they will be able to automatically check if they have it in stock and/or let you know which stores around you have it in a particular size.

The quality isn't fantastic, but it is nicer than most F21 cardigans IMO and I enjoy wearing it. Maybe I will put together an outfit this week with it in honor of Ms. Pillsbury =)

I called my local F21 and I was so excited when they said they had it in my size and they would hold it for me. I have to say- I was quite disappointed. It was really uncomfortable, those little mary poppins figures are stitched on and they made my arms and chest itch. I wasn't crazy about the faux pearl detailing around the top, but if it had been more comfortable I would have purchased it.

Aw, Nikki! :(

Now we know that Jayma suffers for her art, though! ;)

Hey I just received the sweater in the mail! I LOVE it! I don't find it itchy at all and I like the pearls around the collar. It's very cute and super flattering! I think another Channeling Emma installment is on the way!

I want this sweater unlike anything. SO CUTE. And I love how the bottom looks like a belt between it and the red skirt - very clever and cool.
