I am a huge fan of trench coats. I own at least six, most of them in black, white, or some combination of black and white. In his book A Guide to Quality, Taste and Style, Tim Gunn lists the trench coat as one of the ten essential wardrobe elements every woman should have. I couldn't agree more. But why stick to basic black?

Another reader wrote to say that the Moth petals sweater is for sale on eBay right now (there are three of them! - two mediums and one small), and in my search for the Moth sweater, I found the blue Milly (size large) as well. A quick search for "Anthropologie Moth petals" and "Milly blue cardigan" will turn them up easily if you're interested!

Emma Pillsbury Fashion Caps - Preggers - Red Trenchcoat and Hat

Like all good teachers, Emma supports the team by wearing the team's colors - red and white. Hoodies and sweatshirts are not for her, though. Even Emma shows up at football games wearing a skirt.

She keeps her head warm(ish) in an adorable crocheted beret, complete with pom pom.

But it's the red trenchcoat that steals this scene.

What's this? No buttons? No whimsical patterns? Emma's sweater repertoire is expanding!

The leaf motif on this sweater is so pretty, taking on a scarf-like effect.

The leaves are seen again on the cuffs of the sweater. And in pure Emma style, she wears a simple beaded bracelet in a contrasting color. Emma knows a necklace would never work with this top. Which is why Emma is made of awesome.

I need to know what she's wearing with the sweater! Need! To! Know!
