About Shabby Apple
After years of not being able to find stylish dresses that covered enough skin to make you really feel comfortable (without wearing a tank top, cardigan or long slip), owners Emily and CK decided to do something about it.
They visited trade shows, marketplaces and designer studios only to discover the problem was not that department stores weren't buying the right dresses, but that designers weren't designing them.
Shabby Apple is proud to offer you fantastic dresses that allow you to look fabulous, without having to compromise anything else.
And best of all? They love Glee.I lamented the fact that Emma didn't wear enough dresses in the first thirteen episodes. Fortunately we got to see a few more dresses, including the red Valentino bow dress and the pink and purple Kate Spade favorite, in the back 9. Now I will spend the rest of the hiatus demanding a Shabby Apple dress for Emma in season 2, because really - they are perfect for her. Take a look:
Women's Dresses on Shabby Apple
I love that you can shop by style and by body type on this website. Fabulous.
Emma needs to wear at least one of these:
Bethesda Fountain - Look at that bow!
Fifth Ave - With a cardi in a contrasting color, the whimsical giraffe print skirt would turn heads!
Tuileries - I love Emma in yellow. And ruffles.
Shoes, accessories, even dresses for girls - Shabby Apple has beautiful pieces for women of any age and size. That's why I was thrilled when they contacted me about this very special dress giveaway for WWEPW readers.
L'Opera Magenta Cotton Lawn Ruffle Dress
Description
For the girl who is truly moved by mauve and passionate about purple, l'Opera is the ultimate show-stopper. Made for a prima donna, this magnificent magenta frock is all scallop and show, with a row of flouncy ruffles descending from the left shoulder across the chest, flutter sleeves, and a cinched waist. Pair it with gold heels and an arm full of bangles to stop the show, or ballet flats and a silk shawl for a sweeter look. The light and airy cotton blend is the perfect answer to getting dressed up in the summer's heat, and the length keeps things ladylike when you take a seat on the grass to watch Shakespeare in the Park. I love so many of them... my current favorite is the Oh La La.
Gasp! I love Shabby Apple, but I've been pregnant or recovering since I discovered them. Still recovering, but I think the Daisy dress would be good, and I've been looking for a nice, white, summery dress!
Absolutely adorable dresses! You're right---Emma would look AMAZING in that Fifth Ave. dress, with that giraffe print!
I absolutely ADORE the fact that there is a collection called "1943". Can you say Miss Pettigrew Lives For A Day? I simply love the Rendezvous dress :) Thank you for the giveaway!
Lovely dresses. My favorite is the Jitterbug (under 1943).
The Jitterbug and the Truman are my favorites!
It is too hard to choose! I love both the Kenya and the Yorkshire!
I know I'd wear the Fifth Ave. dress all the time! With a basic, neutral palette like that, you could change shoes and accessories all the time, which is my definition of the perfect dress!
So so hard to pick, but I think Mary Jane Watson is my fav right now! Wow!
Oh my gosh, these are fabulous! Thanks for sharing. Bette D is totally my favorite, but it was awfully hard to pick.

The L'Artiste is my favorite - I teach elementary school, and the sleeves and length are great!
I want it all! I love the Fifth Ave. dress, but I also have a soft spot for Carnival--SUCH a fun twist on the classic shirt dress!
They're all beautiful, but my faves are Broadway and Champs Elysees.

I love the Madison Ave dress. It's so hard to choose a favorite since there are so many great dresses!
I've been to their site before and the dresses are gorgeous, but I'm always hesitant to purchase due to my short torso and the fact that most of the dresses cinch at the waist... Anyway, here are my fav's for me: Buttoned up and l'Opera. For Emma however, the following would be perfect dressed up with a cardigan or dramatic floral jewelry: San Gabriel, G. Cooper, and Bethesda Fountain.
I LOVE Shabby Apple! The L'Amour is my favorite dress~
Mmmm LOVE Broadway and Midtown, and L'Artiste!
For Emma, definitely Bethesda Fountain!
I love the 1943 Collection. All of them, but especially Casablanca and Ingrid. What a surprise, that's my favorit movie!
Absolutely every piece of the Golden Gate collection. Perfect dresses, the perfect place (the Bay Area being my home), and perfect names: Jack and Jill, Julie and Romeo, Liz and Darcy, hooray hooray!
I love the VP dress!! Classy and gorgeous. :)

Love the Fifth Ave dress. Reminds me of Mad Men.
All of the dresses are so beautiful that it's hard to pick just one. However, today I am feeling the Madison Ave. dress the most.
chickface at sbcglobal dot net
I love the Upper East Side - thank you hip-hiding dress!
I'm in love! These are all so beautiful. But my favorite has to be bonheur. It is about 90F where I live right now and just looking at that dress made me feel cooler.
I have never seen this website before but I loved the dresses immediately. The Oh La La collection was definitely one of my favorites to go through but I loved the San Gabriel.
Wow. These are amazing. I want. Narrowing it down, however, I came up with: Coney Island, Jackie O, or Carnival.
Love the Jaquie O Dress. Love all the Shabby Apples styles!
I love the Ingrid dress. It's so easy to find work appropriate clothes on Shabby Apple!
Madison Avenue! Seasonally inappropriate, sure, but gorgeous!
I love that l'Opera dress! Or maybe bonheur. They're all so great!
The Gypsy is so cute!
Wouldn't the sheep meadow dress look fabulous with Emma's favorite yellow bracelet?

neillarsonfamily.blogspot.com
I've had my eye on the Fifth Ave for a while! Trying to justify the expense... maybe I'll take advantage of this discount?!
I recently discovered Shabby Apple as well! Emma would look fantastic in more dresses, especially with brooch and cardigan accessories involved! I adore the San Gabriel dress, I think it's one of the most fantastic dresses I have ever seen (It's certainly on the top of my 'to-buy-when-the-paycheck-comes-in' list!)

Pretty dresses! I love the West Coast Swing dress & the Coney Island dress.
Oh gosh, there were so many that I liked but when I saw the Bethesda Fountain dress, I knew that was my favorite, hands down. It's so unique and charming but also so graceful and classic. I own nothing like it!
I love the Bette D - great for work or cocktails after work!
Oh goodness, I love them all! I love G. Cooper the best...because I am a swing dancer and that's totally swingable! :) Love all the 1943 dresses! Wish I could afford them!
V.P. is most definitely my favorite.
The Pont Neuf dress is cute! I also like the Tuileries but I think I'm primarily in love with the model's hat. Adorable!
I love the Bette D. dress! They are all so lovely!
I LOVE the Five to Nine, but I think that I would need to diet a little more to do it justice. What a great site. I sent the URL to a bunch of friends today. Thanks for the heads up.
I loooooooooove the Bugle Boy.
I love this brand so much. My little sister is Mormon and just got married and she can never find dresses that are modest enough - Shabby Apple is the greatest and if I win this I am going to pass this dress to her! I know that she would be so happy. I see her in the La Tour Eiffel - I know she'd love it. She has Parisian sensibilities. These dresses are amazing!
I love these clothes! And that wonderful shop-by-body-type feature! But my favorite dress has to be Coney Island.
I love The Boss, CEO, & Mama Mia. cindyhinckley at msn
I love pretty much every piece in the Skyscraper collection.
I adore the Champs Elysees! It's so charming! I love how it's both modest and chic. The great thing about this dress, because of its neutral colors (navy and white),is it's versatility. Navy and white go with almost anything so you could wear it it a green pashmina, or a brown purse, or a statement necklace. Also, because of its cut, it's versatile enough to wear during both winter and summer. During the summer you could wear it with sandals or other cute accessories, and during the winter you could pair it with tights, a cardigan, and boots. I could go on, but I'm sure you can tell that I just love this dress to bits and pieces!!
I've recently discovered your blog and I think it's absolutely FABULOUS. I've been acquainted with Shabby Apple for awhile and think it's a perfect fit for Emma! For me personally, Champs Elysees is sheer perfection!
Thank you so much for introducing me to Shabby Apple-- too fabulous! I would wear the Ingrid to bits and pieces, often paired with a cardigan and trying to channel Emma :)
