Jewelry Organization

I love jewelry.  Vintage, costume, heirloom - I love it all.

When it comes to my own jewelry, I make some and I buy some.  I haven't been very good about keeping my jewelry in a nice, organized fashion, and I've had to send more than a few pieces to the bauble cemetery because of my own carelessness.

I don't like jewelry boxes or displays, and I don't like surface clutter, so I've been looking for an inexpensive way to keep my jewelry safe and organized.  I've managed to Frankenstein my own system, which has been working wonderfully for me, so I thought I'd share it with you!

This entire organization system cost me less than $25.  All of my jewelry is placed in a closet, out of sight, keeping dresser and nightstand tops free of clutter and mess.  A place for everything and everything in its place.  And I no longer have to toss out necklaces with too-tangled chains or chipped beads.

What tips and tricks do you have for keeping your jewelry organized?

I think the ice cube tray thing is brilliant. I do hang my necklaces and the works great. I bought a small wall hook

Be careful with those removable hooks! One of mine fell down and broke two of my Kate spade necklaces! I was able to fix them but lost a stone :(

It looks great! I have an idea that involves a little
surface clutter, but.... Earrings/pins in vintage egg
plates. vintage teacups for bracelets & neclaces...
Just a thought..
So happy you are back to blogging!!!

I hang my necklaces on my husband's tie rack that he doesn't use anymore - the hooks are sturdy and hold several necklaces each.

LOVE all your brooches - I have a couple of the same ones. :-)
