Jayma shares some of her thoughts on Emma's clothes in this article from NY Magazine.
On sweater clips:
Now that Emma has a boyfriend, will we be seeing any differences in the way she dresses? Fewer sweater clips, perhaps?
Well, I definitely don’t think the sweater clips are ever going away. That may be attributed to an illness — it’s always going to be a part of her life. But in our first fitting back for the second season, I felt like a bit of the quirkiness is being toned down. For instance, she never had anything black in the first season, and I will be wearing a black, fitted pencil skirt and a black-patent-leather belt coming up. A little more sophistication.
On cardigans...
Have you noticed any of Emma’s habits trickling into your real life?
You know, I do keep Purell in my purse now. But if anything, I think it’s made me be more messy at home. If I catch myself straightening things I’m like, Aaah, I’m being Emma! And I’ll stop. And when I put on cardigans now, my husband tells me, "You look too much like Emma." So no more cardigans for Jayma Mays.
We'll take your cardigans, Jayma!

Oh my god, I couldn't live without cardigans!
I wear a cardigan everyday! I don't even know what I would do without them!
... wait, what??? she did wear black in season one- in the super adorable and memorable chalkboard scene! it was still a more cutesy outfit, though...
Yeah, there's definitely been black in season one. But it is a little atypical. Especially for the Emma of the Back 9.
Speaking of the super adorable and memorable chalkboard scene, there is a really cute black J Crew ladybug necklace going for $15 on ebay. It's not the exact necklace Emma wears in the chalkboard scene, but it looks pretty darn close!
Yup, Emma definitely wore black in season one! Not just in the chalkboard scene but in the car wash fundraiser scene too she wore a black pencil skirt and cardi I'm sure! I know I was sort of surprised to see Emma wear black but she certainly did! I guess it shows that we're just a little obsessed (in a totally good way!) that we know the outfits better than Jayma!
I don't think I could excise cardigans from my life. HOW ELSE WOULD I LAYER? It's autumn, layering is KEY.
The sweater clip question was odd... What does that have to do with having a boyfriend? Nobody should change their style for another person!
