Emma Pillsbury Style - Get The Look - Striped Sweater and Skirt

Since we've already seen this outfit in previews...

I'd like to try a little experiment.

One of my favorite things to do on this blog is search and hunt for things that Emma has worn on the show. It's become sort of a hobby for me now, and I get this little rush of excitement whenever I recognize something she's wearing (like this Milly sweater!) or when I finally track down a hard-to-find piece. I'm feeling like those finds need a little throne to sit upon, so I'm thinking about taking them out of the "Get The Look" category, and call them "Fashion ID" instead. (I'll also be guest-blogging Emma's clothes on a really neat Glee website - more to come on that soon...)

"Get The Look" will become exclusively that - how to get Emma's look, but in three different ways. Check it out:

St. John Collection Slub Knit Skirt - $395
Milly Striped Jersey Button Detail Top - $175
Kate Spade Kylie Pumps - $298

Jones New York Nautical Stripes Crewneck Jacket - $58.99
Nine West Women's Josh Pump - $43.45
Talbots Double Weave Skirt - $74.25

CL by Chinese Laundry Women's Greatest Patent Mary Jane Pump - $37.96
Ingenuity Tricotine Skirt - $90
Acrobat Black Striped Silk-Cotton Grandfather Cardigan - $50.99

Croft & Barrow Striped Henley Sweater - $14.99
Newport News T-Strap Pump - $14.99
Forever 21 Belted Sateen Skirt - $12.50

For more budget-friendly looks, check out one of my favorite blogs, The Look For Less!

So...what do you think?

I love breaking it down by cost! Awesome!

I love this. The cost break down is great! Though you can't see the shopstyle bar on Google reader, it doesn't bother me but I thought you might want to know.

Oohhh, yes, Meg. This is exactly what I need to know in this trial run...thank you for that!

The Milli sweater has buttons detailing on the shoulder; could Emma be wearing this one from Forever 21? http://www.forever21.com/product.asp?catalog_name=FOREVER21&category_name=sweater&product_id=2073594510&Page=3&pgcount=25

It could be! We'll have to take a closer look when we see it on Tuesday!

Great job! I admit I have (and adore!) those Kate Spade Kylies from your Break the Bank look but now I am dying over those Nine West Josh pumps because they seem like such a good approximation of Emma's famous D&Gs! Sad that they are nowhere to be found in my size though :/

Chay: Emma's has buttons, as well: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_3mMJokGKttU/S9eaTOznCrI/AAAAAAAACf4/MbyoP28UHr0/s400/PDVD_021.BMP

It's definitely the Milly, then, because the F21 only has buttons on one shoulder. Thanks guys! You're awesome.

I loooove this idea. This way if you have a little extra to spend or this just so happens to be a piece you cannot live without you can go for the more expensive or in the middle, and if you love it but can't afford it (sorry Kate Spade I love you but...) you can always get a beautiful look alike! Two sanitized thumbs up!

Great idea! (Hopefully it won't become too much work.) It might be nice to also not which items she actually wore, you know? In case some of us aren't sure.

Agreed. Like, there could be a little star (Stars for Glee, Glee Stars hooray!) next to the exact items that Emma wore. :)

Love this idea, ladies! Maybe I'll mark exact items from the show with a little Penelope Mary Jane.

I'll still have separate entries for all the things she wore, too! :)

Love this idea! Gives us so many options to choose from to recreate the look. Thanks as always for all your hard work!
