Match Game - Black Red and Yellow vs. Very Jackie O

Plug your ears, Tim Gunn. I don't want you to hear me say this out loud.

I love matchy-matchy. I do. I love it. I love outfits with a strict color palette in the same way I love French gardens. Neat. Symmetrical. Precise.

Let's play with this a bit, shall we? One of the new features I'm launching here today is called "Match Game." Hee. Think of it as a Diva-Off, but with Emma's clothes battling it out instead of Kurt and Rachel. I'll put up two looks, and you vote for your favorite!

Of course it won't be very much fun without all of you, so if you'd like to submit an Emma Pillsbury-inspired look for the game, head on over to Polyvore and create a set. Or, make one of your own!

Then, email the link to me at emmapillsbury (at) gmail (dot) com. Please put "Match Game" in the subject title so I know that's what feature you're submitting for. (Yes, I just ended that sentence with a preposition, and YES IT IS BOTHERING ME.)

Come on, you know you want your look to beat up my look on the playground at recess.

Sound fun? Let's play!

Vote away!

Since I LOVE polyvore and Emma Pillsbury, I am so joining in the frivolity. Just so you know, we can e-mail straight from polyvore, but there is no subject line, so there is no way to put "match game" in the subject line. :) I have quite a few sets already created that are perfect for Emma, and one or two that I have in the drafts that would definitely be perfect for Emma. Do you want us to space out when we send them or do you want them whenever? :)

Awesome, Dina! That is so cool! I received your first set, and it is fantastic! You can send them to me through Polyvore whenever - I will keep them for future installments of Match Game. I am so glad you're playing along!

I have a few sets on polyvore for Emma too. I'll send them to you in the next few days.

I love matchy-matchy, too. I think it's gotten a bum rap, frankly! Maybe it's the vintage clothing lover in me, but I don't see that it's always such a bad thing. Check out old movies or photos and you'll see that ladies used to make sure everything went together, and they looked polished and lovely.

Emma (well, Lou Eyrich) does a great job of doing matchy-matchy while still being fresh and unstuffy. So do you -- these outfits are fantastic!

For some reason I think I am not supposed to like matchy-matchy, but I really do.

I see nothing wrong with matchy matchy. Audrey Hepburn dressed very classic and she never looked like she just got out of bed. Her look was matchy matchy and it worked perfectly.
