Allow me to introduce you to Deirdre, whose love for vintage jewelry inspired this unique and truly fabulous shop:
Candy Shop Vintage
Deirdre contacted me after one of her most beautiful pieces, a large gold rhinestone brooch, appeared in the Get The Look post for Emma's bow sweater chain. Talking with Deirdre, her love for beautiful vintage pieces comes through. I'll let her tell you a little bit about herself and her shop.
I collect and sell pieces of costume jewelry that are affordable, chic, and have contemporary appeal. I visit estate sales, antiques stores and flea markets all over the east coast. Each item is a special, hand-selected treat and I never choose anything I wouldn't wear myself! Candy Shop Vintage is inspired by the aesthetic of vintage candy stores and soda fountains and I hope that my jewelry elicits that same combination of nostalgia and excitement.
I live in Charleston, SC where I often hold trunk shows and participate in retail events. I love the South and I love visiting the flea markets and antiques stores all over the Southeast. Charleston is a very feminine city, with a lot of beauty and history. Here, it is OK to wear a skirt every day if you want. Emma Pillsbury would love it here!
Emma would love Candy Shop Vintage! Every one of the pieces in her shop is something that would be perfect for Emma, and most certainly for us, too!
Thanks to Deirdre's incredible generosity, I am so happy to announce this really special giveaway. She has offered a beautiful piece of jewelry to WWEPW, which will go to one very lucky reader. Are you ready for this? Seriously, sit down, because you might faint when you see this necklace.
Lovely, ladylike, three strand pearl and green glass necklace. A strand of green glass beads that are finished to resemble jade sits in between two elegant strands of pearls. The necklace closed with an ornate gold clasp, set in the center with a green glass bead. Absolutely stunning! Retail $65.00
I KNOW, RIGHT? Isn't it gorgeous? Can't you just see Emma wearing it? Except it won't be Emma wearing it! It will be a WWEPWer! And it might be YOU!

Everyone who reads WWEPW knows that it is very important to me to support Etsy artists and shops as much as possible. In a world of strip malls and giant department stores, where we take home our goodies in boring plastic bags, isn't it so nice to receive a carefully and often beautifully wrapped package with a handwritten note by someone who created or selected something by hand, simply because they love to?
Thank you, Deirdre, for being one of the people who loves to. And thank you for this beautiful necklace. I'm thrilled and honored to be partnering with you.
