Emma Pillsbury Style - Get The Look - Blue Beaded Cardigan with Gold Skirt and Flower Brooch

Every day I think about all the reasons why writing WWEPW makes me happy, and at the top of my list today was reader Claire.

Last week, Claire emailed me about the music video for Somebody to Love, which I remembered seeing at the Glee Mall Tour over the summer. What I didn't remember, though, was Emma's outfit in the video.

As soon as I fired up the DVD, my old brain kicked into gear.

The sweater, blouse, and pin were most certainly those from the "YAY, GLEE! GLEE KIDS HOORAY!" scene in Acafellas. (A scene I'm sure most people who know me wish didn't exist, since I subject the world to my own rendition of that declaration on a daily basis.)

And yes, that is the gold pencil skirt Emma wears with the military cardigan in The Rhodes Not Taken.

The cardi looks vintage.

Is it possible to love her any more?

Why, yes! Yes, it is!

It doesn't matter how many times I've seen this video - the slow-motion walking at the end chokes me up every! single! time! My educator-y sensibilities take over and all I can see is a hallway full of potential, supported and encouraged by a fantastic teacher. I've dedicated my life to that very slow-motion walk. Bawl bawl bawl bawl bawl.

You can get Emma's look with a great cardi, like these from J.Crew, a crisp white blouse like this one from Modcloth, and any simple skirt and whimsical brooch you like!

And of course, a great pair of pumps.

Thank you, Claire, for reminding me how much I love this video...

I would of never dreamed of that pencil skirt with that colour but Emma pulls it off brilliantly!

Any idea where I can see that video? Is it online, or what DVD did you see it on? Thanks so much.
