Emma Pillsbury Fashion Caps - Vitamin D - Yellow Bow Blouse and Blue Skirt

Yellow and robin's egg blue. And bows. Big bows.

Emma even rocks the plastic glove look.

If only we could see the shoes!

A beaded bracelet with a ladybug clasp finishes the look.

Glee Fashion Caps - The Rhodes Not Taken - In Praise of April Rhodes

No, not her fashion, sillies.

Clearly not her fashion.

Definitely
not her fashion.

The character of April Rhodes is sheer brilliance, and no one but Kristin Chenoweth could pull her off with such finesse. WWEPW would be remiss without a hat tip to this icon of stage and screen.

To Kristin! *clink*

Emma Pillsbury Style - Get The Look - Sleeveless Dress

Emma's split boatneck dress is accented with teardrop buttons, and a faux foldover sash at the waist. Simple, yet beautiful. I've looked and looked but can't seem to find the exact replica of this dress anywhere. Here are some sheath dresses to whet your appetite for the original.

Emma Pillsbury Fashion Caps - The Rhodes Not Taken - Classic Sleeveless Dress

This dress? I want it in every color.

A closer look at that pin (I think it's a magnolia) reveals how truly beautiful it is.

Update: I heart comments! An anonymous reader informed me that this is a dogwood flower! Thank you!

I get choked up every time I watch this moment. And every time I see that ring. Because I don't have that ring. And I want it.

Every look Emma casts in Will's direction...

is pure magic.

I nominate Jayma Mays for the Nobel Everything Prize.

Emma Pillsbury Style - Get The Look - Pleated Neckline Blouses

Emma's pale periwinkle blouse looks beautiful. And expensive. The tucked pleats around the neck and cap sleeves make a plain top much more interesting.

Emma Pillsbury Fashion Caps - The Rhodes Not Taken - Periwinkle Blouse and Gold Pendant

The pleating in this top makes it anything but ordinary.

The large gold pendant on a thick chain is a nice accent piece. I especially love that this scene lasts all of ten seconds, but has its very own look. Hooray for Glee's costume designer Lou Eyrich!

Emma Pillsbury Style - Get The Look - Military Cardigans

I'm going to be totally honest. I don't care for this sweater. Lou Eyrich manages to make it look great on Emma with a great blouse, great shoes, and a gorgeous skirt. Thanks to her, this sweater escapes Michael Jackson/Robert Preston territory and sits securely in the "cute" camp.

I'm not willing to try to pull this look off, because I'm certain I would end up looking ridiculous, but if you can, more power to you. Since Emma's sweater from Anthropologie

is no longer in stock, here are some others you might want to check out.

Emma Pillsbury Fashion Caps - The Rhodes Not Taken - Blue and Gold Military Cardigan

Let's face it, this kind of look is not easy to pull off. One wrong move and you could end up looking very "Michael Jackson," or even more "76 Trombones."

The feminine white blouse under the military sweater paired with a skirt does the trick. With pants, this sweater could take a very non-Emma-like turn.

And, HELLO SHOES.

The post-puked-on, delicate walk is a nice touch, too.

Emma Pillsbury Style - Get The Look - Sweater Clips

Emma wears two appliqued cardigans in this episode. She buttons up the peachy-pink cardi, but leaves the green one open to reveal a crisp white button-down blouse underneath. To keep her cardi in place, she attaches a sweater guard to the collar. A gold chain connects two simple gold leaves.

Vintage shops carry some sweater guards, but not too many crafters and jewelry artists are making them. Here are a few cute handmade as well as commercial clips. If I ever find the elusive owl clips that Emma wore with her eggplant blouse...

...they will be mine. Oh yes, they will be mine.

If I had a buttery yellow cardigan, this would be perfect. That ladybug is just darling.

Emma Pillsbury Fashion Caps - The Rhodes Not Taken - Green Cardigan

A navy skirt accompanies this green appliqued cardigan. Instead of attaching sweater clips to her collar, Emma wears them in a more traditional fashion.

Emma knows her solvents. Something doesn't smell right.

Oh, Emma. We know what's coming and we feel your pain. If we could, we'd throw a tarp over you within the next thirty seconds to save you!

Too late.
