Preppy Fashion Over 50

 Hey WWEPWers!

It's been a while.  Recently I've been drawn back to this space. Over the last several years, I let my work-life balance go completely haywire.  I remembered how much I enjoyed writing this blog - back when blogs were still a thing.  It was such a creative outlet for me and I loved the interactions with readers - some of whom became longtime friends.  (I'm looking at you Amy, Joanna, and Kathleen!)

At some point in the six seasons of Glee, the show lost its luster for me, and I stopped blogging about it.  That's also when I stopped doing a lot of the things I enjoyed and became completely absorbed in my work.  In the spirit of reclaiming my free time, I may return to posting here from time to time.  I think I might finish watching Glee - the show that defined much of my late 30s and early 40s - and complete what I started - a chronicle of Emma's clothes.  I don't even know if I remember how to screencap any more.

If anyone's still around, I hope you'll keep reading!  In the meantime, you can find me posting outfits from my own closet on Instagram, where lots of old people like me have migrated now that the Kids These Days have moved on to The Tik Toks.  My handle is preppyfashionover50.

See you soon!

Danielle

Yay! I hadn't thought much about Emma Pillsbury over the past 7-8 years and just one month ago started watching clips of her from Glee again since I was feeling really sad. That's crazy that you started posting again at around the same time. :O I also gave up watching the show since Emma was getting so little screentime. I can't believe some of the stuff I missed, like the "You're All the World to Me" performance!

Anyways, I'm still so inspired by Emma/her style and can't wait to see new posts!!

P.S. Not sure if you've watched some of the other stuff Jayma's done since Glee, but she played a character a couple years ago on a show called Trial and Error that was just about the complete opposite of Emma Pillsbury. You might be horrified if you watch haha.

Hello, and hooray! I too, let my blog fizzle a bit. I tried to revive it, but then I found myself on Periscope with a pretty good-sized following. Then Periscope died and I got distracted by who knows what. I miss the Emma days! Glad to see you back!

Wahoo! I never finished watching either and it’s slightly tainted for me, but I see it through new eyes now my children watch it! Big love. Joanna x
